Events and Activities : Above the Influence Kicks off new school year

Welcome back, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful summer! School’s about to start, which means it’s time to kick off Above the Influence coalition meetings again. Our first meeting of the year will be THIS THURSDAY (8-19-10) at noon at the ISU Extension office in Vinton (501 1st Ave). Join us to help prevent underage drinking and drug use in Benton County. We will be discussing some exciting social marketing opportunities we have this year, as well as how we’ll use some of the funding we have received. We have opportunities to bring great trainings to Benton County, as well as purchasing a high-tech breathalyzer that can be loaned out for school/community functions, and many more options. And of course, lunch will be provided, so please RSVP by Wednesday so that I can get a good head count! I hope you can all make it!
