Events and Activities : Summer Reading Program begins; Blank Park Zoo visit Thursday

The annual Summer Reading Program at the Vinton Public Library is under way.

Participants can register any time at the library. All children who meet the requirements will be eligible to attned the free day at the Sky Zone indoor trampoline park in Cedar Rapids in August (parents must provide transportation).

A favorite feature of the Summer Reading Program is the visit by the staff of Blank Park Zoo, which will bring a variety of animals for children to see. That event takes place at 10:30 a.m. this Thursday, June 18, in the library basement.
