After a year shut down for the pandemic, the Center Point Historical Society Depot Museum will re-open on Sunday, June 6, from 2-4. Museum admission is free.
Society members met April 26, 2021, and decided to open the Museum Sunday afternoons, 2-4, through September. Pending changes in national and local health recommendations, guests are asked to please mask.
This year's Museum theme is "School: Town and Country." Displays include a map and photos of area country schools, Urbana school items, and a feature on beloved CP elementary teacher Lula Belle McGinnis.
The group will also open the Museum from 8-4 on Thursday, July 29, when RAGBRAI comes through Center Point.
The annual Log Cabin Festival will be Sunday, Aug. 29, from 2-4. The theme is "Homemade Fun."
The Historical Society meets the last Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Museum.
