Dorothy Sallee, born Dorothy Wiegand, from Mt. Auburn, was the youngest of the ten women, age 79 when interviewed. She had interesting stories to tell about her first husband (Pollock) working on the railroad, and the hardships they and the children endured. Dorothy later served as a telephone operator when the farms were all on party lines, and then served as Post Mistress of Mt. Auburn. She died in 2000 at age 94.
