The Iowa Wind Energy Association grew out of an advisory group that helped launch the nation’s first educational training program for wind energy technicians at Iowa Lakes Community College. With that same kind of strategic thinking, IWEA was formed and has carried on the work of building a strong and prosperous Iowa-based wind energy community through information sharing, education and networking. The 2011 Conference will continue this pursuit. The Conference is open to the public. Those who would benefit from the Conference include the property owners, small and community wind projects, independent wind developers, large integrated wind developers, wind farm operations and maintenance, an in particular the numerous design, manufacturing, fabrication and development businesses that make up the wind industry.
