Events and Activities : The final North Iowa Tractor Ride will be in Vinton July 18 – 20, 2024

The North Iowa Tractor Ride will be taking its final ride July 18th - July 20th. This will be the ride's 17th ride.

Headquartered at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton, nearly 200 vintage and restored tractors and pre-registered drivers, friends and family will start signing in, receiving goodie bags, T-shirts, and tractor signage on Thursday afternoon July 18th, before taking part in the evening meal and drivers safety meeting.

On Friday morning groups of drivers will roll out in four separate groups based on their desired speed and make their way to Brandon, home of the World's Largest Frying Pan for a mid morning break. The second stop will be at Quasqueton for lunch, and through Rowley and Troy Mills to Center Point for an afternoon break. The ride will drive through Urbana before heading back to Vinton for an overnight stay.

Friday evening the drivers will be free to explore the community of Vinton and the surrounding communities.

Saturday morning, July 20, the riders will make their way over the hills and around the curves to Mt Auburn for a break at the Wayson Family Farm and then move out to LaPorte City for lunch. Around 200 vintage tractors will be driving into downtown La Porte City and tractors will be in town for close to two hours. Everyone is welcome to come downtown and see them. The tractors will be parked on Main Street while the drivers dine with us at the museum. It is anticipated that the tractors will be arriving around noon. The exact times for the ride will be announced closer to the date and we will post those on our social media and website (https://www.laportecitymuseum.org).

Following lunch, the drivers will then head for a stop back in Brandon before ending the very last North Iowa Tractor Ride in Vinton.

Spectators are always welcome to join the riders for lunch, along the route or just to check out the tractors at our headquarters of the Benton County Fairgrounds. Licensed riders must be at least 16, be pre-registered and carry insurance. Details are available at www.northiowatractorride.com
