Events and Activities : Doggie Dip at Vinton Pool

The Vinton Community Swimming Pool will be hosting its annual Doggie Dip event on Sunday, August 21st from 1 PM - 4 PM. The scorching hot dog-days of summer are nearly over! Reminisce and cool off one last time with everyone's greatest pal...the family dog. Whether its canine cannonballs off the boards or doggie paddling through the shallow end of the pool, you and your best friend will undoubtedly have a dog-gone good time. Owners are welcome to bring their dog's toy of choice, but must keep an ever watchful eye on their pets at all time and clean up after any messes they might make. The cost is $3 per dog and all owner's get in for free! All dogs must be vaccinated against rabies, distempter and parvo and proof of this must be verified upon registration. There will also be some end-of-the-season concession sales for you and dog treats available for the pooch! There are only two days left for open swim opportunities! The pool will be open today (Friday) from 2 PM - 7 PM and will be open for regular hours on Saturday. (Lap Swim - Noon - 1 PM & 5 PM - 6 PM General Swim: 1-5 PM, 7-8 PM Family Swim: 6-7 PM).
