Get ready to boogie-woogie for June's Sunday afternoon concert at Farmers Mercantile Hall, located at 100 W Main Street in Garrison! The show, on June 14 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. will feature Benton County's own Dan Boddicker and Friends. Expect all original material at the show which will include some blues and boogie woogie along with a bit of jazz and Americana.
Dan is a local musical legend and has had a long successful career as professional musician from touring with bands in the 80's-to the recent opening of a live music venue/wine bar in downtown Vinton-where he hosts other musicians and often plays himself.
If you've ever heard Dan behind the keys, then you know when he plays, he brings a party. Which is particularly convenient as Farmers Mercantile Hall is celebrating the June 9 nuptials of two music enthusiasts-building owner Nick Fisher and Vinton Newspaper Editor, Amy Stourac.
In the spirit of celebration, Nick and Amy have decided to make the June 14th concert a free show where all are welcome to join in the joy. Shelly's Cakes in Dyersville will make another sweet appearance with a wedding cake to top off the delicious freewill donation buffet provided by the Garrison Library Board.
