AmeriCorps NCCC North Central Region Celebrating 10 Years of Service

More than 100 AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) North Central Region alums and staff are descending on Vinton, Iowa this weekend. They are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the AmeriCorps NCCC North Central Region campus opening in Vinton, Iowa in 2008.

Eastern Iowa Honor Flight to launch Flight #33

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight will launch EIHF Flight #33. Since we began operations in 2009, to date, we have transported 2,758 Veterans, plus their guardians to Washington, DC to visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.

Fitness fund-raiser set for Sept. 8; to raise money for cheerleading uniforms

The Be the Change Fitness Group will be hosting a 90 minute Cardio Dance class to help the sqad raise enough money to purchase new uniforms, as well as pay for future competition fees.

Area officers to offer free self-defense class, Sept. 29
