At the regular May meeting, Center Point Friends of the Public Library did the details for the annual used book sale. Because of the confluence of construction and carnival the book sale will be one day only, Saturday, May 30, during Library hours, 10 a.

Evangelist Dea Warford from Santa Fe Springs, CA has trained church groups in personal evangelism methods, served as guest Bible College lecturer, trained pastors, and has held divine healing crusades, revival services and prayer conferences.

The annual Shellsburg Firemen’s Auxiliary Backdraft 5K Run/Walkwill take place a 8 a.m. On Saturday, July 18. Click HERE for a registration form and more information.

The 2015 Vinton Community Job Fair will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 9, at the Vinton Skate Center.  Admission is free for this event, which is sponsored by Vinton Unlimited.

As the school year comes to a close, the High School would like to invite you to our Fine Arts Night, on Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium, featuring art, music and drama students.

The Vinton Garden Club annual plant sale is scheduled for Friday, May 8th, at the Benton County Fairgrounds in the open class building. The doors will open at 5:00 p.

Monday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Vinton Public Library. You have read his magazine, you have seen him on tv, now you can meet him in person when he presents the program - Hidden Treasures of Iowa.

One day only sale is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, in the Library basement at 720 Main Street. Because of construction, please use the Library’s main entrance.
