The 2nd Annual Evergreen Cemetery Flea Market is now under way, at the cemetery, at 1002 E 10th St. in Vinton, IA. Hours are 8 to 5 today and Saturday.

Starting in 2008, the “Year of the FLOOD”, and getting stronger and better for the next six years in a row, a dedicated group of volunteers, officially known as the RATS (Running Around Tidying Streams) has gathered on an early day in August with a common mission: to clean the Cedar River and her banks.

Extension plans two Stockman & Stewardship workshops

Two Stockman & Stewardship  workshops featuring Dr. Ron Gill from Texas, will be held in eastern Iowa June 25.  The Stockman & Stewardship sessions teach cattle handling methods that improve animal movement and cattle performance by reducing the stress on livestock.
