Benton County Bacon Buddies ® at the 2023 Benton County Fair!Bacon Buddies ® gives individuals who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (Buddies) the opportunity to take a pig into the show ring.

There will be a bake sale on Sunday, April 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Casey's parking lot located at 1112 West 4th St. in Vinton.Items that will be available include: Brownies, Cookies, Muffins, fresh popcorn, Texas Sheet Cake and much more!Funds will be used to sponsor the Adult Prom Masquerade Ball that will be held on Satuday, May 19th.

Youth Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Trek - NE MinnesotaFontana Training Day: July 20th, 4PM - 9PM (mandatory)Boundary Waters Trek: July 23rd — 30thAges 14-18; Cost $500; Registration limited to 5 youth.

The Shellsburg American Legion Annual Spring Fish Fry will be held on Friday, April 28 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. The Legion is located at  114 Main St SW.

The Annual Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 8 at 10 am for ages 10 and under.Be sure to bring your cameras and smiles, the Easter Bunny will be there to pose for pictures with you! *In case of inclement weather, we will move to the Skate Center.
