Learn what resources are available for Benton County
Vinton, Iowa —Trail enthusiasts and community leaders looking to enhance and improve their community through trails are invited to attend an upcoming workshop planned for northwest Iowa.
The workshop will be hosted by Trees Forever on Thursday, June 5, from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the Benton County Nature Center, 5718 20th Ave. Dr. Vinton, Iowa. The Benton County Conservation Board is partnering with Trees Forever on the workshop.
The interactive community workshop, Happier Trails Ahead: Planning & Planting New Trail Enhancements, will offer the opportunity to share ideas, successes and challenges, ask questions, and learn how other communities have successfully improved their trails. Trees Forever staff will discuss the many benefits of trail enhancements and share additional resources available.
With the popularity of trails on the rise, many communities are looking for ways to enhance their existing trails with an eye towards increasing tourism and economic development. Many also recognize the valuable role that trails play in improving public health and well-being.
