Events and Activities : Shellsburg’s Winter Family Fun Night

When: Thursday, February 11th, 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Where: Shellsburg American Legion

What: Activity stations for kids including “bag toss” game, craft table, candy bar bingo, and possibly a dog to read to! There will be adult coloring for the parents and a free meal for all family members.

Why: The past summer’s Family Fun Nights in city park were enjoyed by many, so let’s see what we can do indoors! It’s winter, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have a little family fun so come on out and chase away the cabin fever!

The Shellsburg Area Community Group and Friends of the Library are sponsoring this activity. Information is being sent home with school age children, asking you to return information to the elementary school if you are planning on attending. If you have younger children and have not signed up through the school, please contact Nancy Thorkildson at 319-436-4542 by February 5th. This will really help us plan the meal. The event will be cancelled if inclement weather, so watch news stations or media postings.
