Events and Activities : \'Good Women & Bad Girls:\' Historian to share history April

Last year, historian Kathy Wilson gave us a look at the changing role of American women from colonial times through the Victorian era, including what it meant to be a “straight-laced, uptight, or loose” woman.

She returns April 9 to the Ray House with another program in her engaging series on 19th-century women’s history; however, this time the focus is on marriage, family, and health—including sex!       (Admit it, you’re curious).

Discover what made Scarlett O’Hara such a “bad girl”, and why she disliked Melanie Wilkes so much.   

The event takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Ray House, 912 1st Ave. Cost is $5 for the general public but free to Benton County Historical Society members. Refreshments will be served.
