“Horse & Buggy Medical Days to Today” is the Center Point Historical Society’s theme for 2018. The Depot Museum will be open Sundays from 2 to 4 May 6 through September 30, free. Among the exhibits is a 1926 wooden dentist cabinet with period dental instruments loaned by CP dentist Philip Andersen, Historical Society president. Center Point’s recently-retired Doc Troup has loaned vintage veterinarian equipment for another display. Doc will talk at the Museum on July 29 about his 50 years of vetting in CP. On September 16 there will be a program about the late Dr. Kenneth Andersen, who took care of Center Point human health for half a century. The Depot Museum also opens by appointment. Call 319-721-6948, 849-1883 or 849-1489.
