Events and Activities : U.S. Service Academy Open House to be held August 10

There will be a U.S. Service Academy Open House on Friday, August 10^th. All Iowa students interested in applying to, or learning more about service academies are welcome to attend. U.S. Service Academy Open Houses give Iowa students the opportunity to learn more about serving our country while also receiving a full four-year scholarship from some of our nation’s finest institutions of higher learning. Students will have the chance to talk with academy representatives and learn more about the process. This event is open to the public. Details are as follows:

In my capacity as your United States Senator, I have the opportunity to nominate Iowa students to the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. I cannot nominate students to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, as a congressional nomination is not needed to apply. However there will be a U.S. Coast Guard Academy representative present to answer any questions you may have. I encourage Iowa students who may be interested to join us on August 10^th to hear more about these opportunities.
