Events and Activities : Vinton’s Laborshed Data to Be Presented

The 2019 Vinton Laborshed Workforce Study is complete. Where does Vinton get its workforce? What industries and occupations are people working? How much are they earning? Where are job seekers looking for jobs? Where is there available labor? These are the questions that the jointly funded (by Iowa Workforce Development & Iowa Economic Development Authority) labor supply attempts to answer for communities across Iowa. The study provides community leaders, economic developers and existing or prospective employers a flexible tool for understanding the workforce characteristics of the Vinton labor market area.

A representative from Iowa Workforce Development will be presenting this data on Thursday, June 13th starting at 12:00 p.m at the Benton County Kirkwood Center. Area business representatives are invited to attend. There .is no cost to attend however RSVPs are appreciated. Lunch will be provided by Vinton Unlimited.
