Fall Events taking place in Vinton

Vinton Parks and Recreation have two fall events coming up this fall! The Scarecrow Contest will kick off all of the fun. Be sure to stop and take a look at each one, maybe even take a selfie and send it in to share with the town if you'd like!

Below are some of the events leading up to Halloween!

Scarecrow Contest

October 21-30

Vinton businesses get to show off their creativity by making scarecrows.

The community will get to vote on their favorites!

Garrison's Haunted House

October 21, 22, 28, and 29th.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

Fall Fest Cornhole Throwdown

When: Saturday, October 22

Where: Celebration Park

Time: Check-in 10:00 a.m.

Throwdown: 11:00 a.m.

Cost: FREE courtesy of Cedar Valley Bank & Trust

Get your team together and come on out!

Nathan's Miles Glow Fun Run

When: Saturday, October 22

Where: Vinton Shellsburg High School

Kid's Time: 6:15 p.m. Kid's Race FREE!

5K Race: 7:00 p.m.

Cost: $25
