Come to Wesley United Methodist Church at 516 2nd Ave on Thursday, June 2 at 6:30 pm for a free program on the wise use of your food budget.  As food prices continue to increase, building your skills and knowledge about food planning, shopping and preparation is very helpful in making dollars go further.  An informed grocery shopper can spend at least 15% less in the supermarket!  Join Phyllis Zalenski, Family Finance Program Specialist with the Iowa State University Extension office, for a discussion of effective grocery shopping skills to increase the buying power and nutrition of your food dollar.  Participants will receive a set of “Spend Smart, Eat Smart” tip sheets, and bag of ingredients for an economical meal you can make for your family.  Reservations are needed and can be made by calling 472-2581 before June 1.
