The Heritage Agency Hosting Caregiver Education Event
The Heritage Agency on Aging will present a caregiver education session for those who work with older adults suffering from chronic diseases. This free one-hour session will show the benefits of the Chronic Disease Self-management six-week program. This one-hour session is at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13 at The Heritage Agency conference room on Kirkwood Community College’s Cedar Rapids campus.
Participants will learn the benefits the Chronic Disease Self-management program can have for both the person living with a chronic condition and the caregiver. It helps everyone learn a healthy way to live with chronic conditions. This session is free and open to the public, with an opportunity for questions and dialogue.
The Chronic Disease Self-management program is one of the many Caregiver Education sessions that the Heritage Agency offers to non professional caregivers throughout the year. The sessions address some of the most prevalent and important topics to home and family caregivers in the area.
