Young Eagles Rally, May 30

EAA Chapter 33 has opened registration for the next Young Eagles event at the Vinton Airport.

Young Eagle flights offer a Free airplane ride for kids ages 8 to 17 with signed permission from a parent/legal guardian.

The Young Eagles Rally will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to12:00 p.m. weather permitting at the Vinton Airport.

In January, Young Eagles Chapter 33 completed two solo Young Eagle flights. In April, we flew twenty-one students from Cedar Rapids Charter School, featuring a presentation by Clint Gosch and a hands-on wing rib activity. Most recently, we held our first public event in Tipton, Iowa. Special thanks to Scott Pearson for coordinating with the airport. With the support of ten pilots and twelve ground crew members, we flew forty-three youth, twenty-eight of whom experienced their first flight.
