Events and Activities : Benton Scholarship Foundation sets Soup for Scholars for Dec. 18

The Benton Scholarship Foundation (BSF) is hosting their annual fundraiser Soup for Scholars on Tuesday, December 18 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Benton Community Middle/High School, Van Horne. The Benton Girls Basketball team will also be hosting Vinton/Shellsburg that evening.

The Soup for Scholars is a free-will donation event. Chili, chicken noodle soup, ham salad sandwiches, a dessert and beverage will be served.

All funds generated will be used to support the foundation. BSF, a Dollars for Scholars Chapter, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide higher education for Benton Community graduates through the generous donations from business, patrons and friends of Benton Community in the form of scholarships. In May of 2012, BSF awarded 53 college scholarships totaling $30,500 to Benton Community graduates.
