Week in Wrap

Our second legislative cutoff has come to a close, indicating another hectic week as we concentrated on advancing House bills in the Iowa Senate. Currently, policy bills must have passed through a committee in the opposing chamber to be eligible for consideration for the remainder of the legislative session. This procedure ensures our attention remains on crucial priorities and bills that garner adequate support to remain viable at this stage of the session, hopefully aiding in ending the session on schedule this year.

Budget Statement Mailing

The budget statement will include information regarding school, county, and city proposed tax rates as well as information about scheduled public hearings regarding the proposed tax rates.
