Government : Benton County Sheriff's Office August report/arrest log

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 343 calls for service and investigated 15 accidents during August. Deputies attempted to serve 188 civil papers and issued 48 traffic citations and 107 traffic warnings.

There were 27 arrests/juvenile referrals with 36 charges being filed in August 2014.

(4) were felony charges, (12) were simple misdemeanors, and (20) were indictable misdemeanors.

Charges included: Assault – 6; Arrest Warrants served – 3; Driving While Suspended / Revoked / Barred – 5; Disorderly Conduct – 2; Child Endangerment – 1; Interference With Official Acts – 1; Obstructing Emergency Communications – 1; OWI – 6; Drug Related – 5; Possession of Firearms by Felon – 1; Public Intoxication - 5.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
