Government : Benton County Sheriff\'s Office January report/arrest log

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 288 calls for service and investigated 40 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 86 civil papers and issued 31 traffic citations and 53 traffic warnings.

There were 24 arrests/juvenile referrals with 25 charges being filed in January 2015.

(5) were felony charges, (9) were simple misdemeanors, and (11) were indictable misdemeanors.

Charges included: Assault – 4; Arrest Warrants served – 7; Driving While Suspended / Revoked / Barred – 4; OWI – 3; Possession of Alcohol Under Age – 1; Public Intoxication – 3; Theft – 2; Violation of No Contact Order -1.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
