Rep. Dawn Pettengill (R-Mt. Auburn) has recently been appointed to several state boards and commissions, including: the Commission on Aging, Investment Board of the Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System (IPERS), and the Statewide Fire and Police Retirement System Board of Trustees. This is a reappointment to the IPERS Board for Pettengill, as she has served on it since 2008.

The Commission on Aging is charged with “serving as a visible advocate for older Iowans.” The IPERS investment board reviews investment practices and findings to insure the best performance for the retirement system. The Statewide Fire and Police Retirement Systems’ board is charged with similar duties.

“Rep. Pettengill is a leader whose commitment and service to Iowans continually drives her,” said House Speaker Kraig Paulsen. “I’m confident she will bring her valuable expertise, knowledge and convictions to these important boards.”

Pettengill also serves as chair of the Administrative Rules Review Committee and serves on the House Government Oversight, State Government, Commerce and Transportation Committees.
