Government : Patrol Division Activity Report for July 2015

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 327 calls for service and investigated 27 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 116 civil papers and issued 59 traffic citations and 95 traffic warnings.

There were 25 arrests/juvenile referrals with 36 charges being filed in July 2015.

(9) were felony charges, (14) were simple misdemeanors, and (13) were indictable misdemeanors.

Charges included: Arrest Warrants served – 10; Assault – 1; Driving While Suspended / Revoked / Barred – 8; OWI – 3; Interference With Official Acts – 1; Drug Related – 5; Operation Without Owners Consent – 1; Theft – 3; Harassment – 2; Eluding – 1; Violation of No Contact Order – 1.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
