Charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury (Serious Misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief 4th (Serious Misdemeanor), and Obstruction of Emergency Communication (Simple Misdemeanor).

Juvenile Referrals

August 8 15 year old male charged with Theft 5th (Simple Misdemeanor)

Six Citations were issued in August. One resulted from reported traffic accident which was for Fail to Yield and the remainder for other offenses which were for Careless Driving, No Driver’s License, Speeding, Open Container.

Ten Written Warnings for traffic offenses were issued in August and they were for No Driver’s License, Headlight Requirements, Failing to Dim, Careless Driving, and Speed. Non-Traffic related warnings included Two Curfew Warnings.

Four reported motor vehicle accidents in which one was a hit and run.

For the month of August, 172- complaints/calls for service were handled by the Vinton Police Department.
