September 1 Alyssa Varner 20 Vinton Arrested on an Intrastate Warrant for Fail To Appear.

September 2 Randy Rouse 53 Vinton Charged with Driving Under Suspension (Simple Misdemeanor).

September 9 Tristan Muir 18 Vinton Charged with Driving Under Suspension (Simple Misdemeanor).

September 10 Maurice Davis 31 Vinton Arrested on an Intrastate Warrant for Sex Abuse 3rd.

September 11 Tomica Linear 44 Vinton Charged with two counts of Child Endangerment. (Class D Felony)

Supreme Hughes 31 Vinton Charged with two counts of Child Endangerment. (Class D Felony)

September 12 Steven Spencer 34 Vinton Charged with Violation of a Protective Order.

September 16 Austin Wheeler 33 Vinton Arrested on an Intrastate Warrant for Fail To Appear.

September 19 Mark Thompson 30 Vinton Charged with Criminal Trespass (Simple Misdemeanor) and also Arrested on two warrants out of Iowa County for Theft 2nd & Burglary 3rd.

September 20 Amber Hatfield 29 Cedar Rapids Charged with Public Intoxication. (Simple Misdemanor)

September 22 Jeffrey Spencer 46 Vinton Charged with Shoplifting/Theft 3rd (Aggravated Misdemeanor)

September 23 Mark Thompson 30 Vinton Charged with Operation Without Owners Consent and Criminal Trespass.

September 27 Steven Barker 54 Vinton Charged with Public Intoxication

Juvenile Referrals

September 16 16 Year old male Juvenile was charged with Possession of a controlled substance. (Serious Misdemeanor)

September 27 13 Year old male Juvenile was charged with Criminal Mischief 5th (Simple Misdemeanor)

Eight Citations were issued in September. Two resulted from reported traffic accident which was for Fail to Yield and No Proof of Insurance (accident related) and the remainder for other offenses which were for Careless Driving, Speeding, No Insurance, and Stop Sign Violation.

Thirteen Written Warnings for traffic offenses were issued in September and they were for No Insurance, Number of Driving Lamps, Stop Signal Violation, Speed and various Equipment Violations.

Six reported motor vehicle accidents for the month of September.

For the month of August, 193- complaints/calls for service were handled by the Vinton Police Department.
