As with all other profiles, we offer this in the candidate's own words. Lifelong Farmer from Keystone. Wife Brenda and two Step-Daughters and their families. Seeking re-election to a third term in the Iowa Senate. The State Budget is always the first priority, this will be a tough year as a result of a downturn in projected revenue due in part to a downturn in the Ag economy. School funding is also one our major responsibilties. Getting this done early in session has always been an ambition of mine, let's make it happen this year. I would also like to address texting while driving this year. A strong message needs to be sent by making this a primary offense for all drivers, not just beginners.
