Tonight's agenda highlights for the city council include:
Water meter charges, Roger Uthoff under citizen input.
Old business includes a proposed ordinance to vacate an alley. The council will consider the following topics: street projects, preliminary plat of Mary Ingalls Subdivision, bids for wastewater treatment plant roof, request from Brett Stein to park trailer and vehicles on leased lot, Council Ward 2 candidates, VMEU board members. The council will set a time for hearing on a proposed ordinance to vacate an alley, set a public hearing to consider splash pad bids and discuss TIF funding for first time home buyers.
Under new business:
Approve resolution for auditing services, consider meter pit water line replacements, and soil borings for wastewater treatment plant, discuss cell phones for public works departments and Iowa's Ride.
The council will also set a public hearing for nuisance abatement for Jim Gill Property and set a date for a budget work session.
