Eide Bailly LLP today released an audit report on the Benton County, Iowa for the year ended June 30, 2019.
Revenues for the County for the year ended June 30, 2019, totaled $22,594,417, a 6.0% increase from prior year.
Revenue included $9,971,296 from property taxes, including state credits, $2,015,178 from charges for service, $7,849,077 from operating grants and contributions, $1,645,643 from capital grants and contributions, and $1,113,223 from other general revenues.
Expenses for County operations totaled $22,194,759, a 9.9% increase from the prior year. Expenses included $9,861,041 for roads and transportation, $4,641,562 for public safety and legal services, $1,098,670 for physical health and social services, and $1,636,288 for administration.
