Government : Late Fees on Utility Accounts will be due beginning August 1

Citing the COVID-19 pandemic, and the repercussions of the event, the council had suspended all late fees on April 7, 2020 as part of a Civil Emergency Declaration.

However, the Vinton City Council voted to reinstate the assessment of late fees and tag fees on past due utility accounts beginning on August 1st citing the fact that the State of Iowa has now let businesses reopen.
