Adam Rodenberg, The Middle Cedar Watershed Coordinator met with the board at the request of the landowner regarding the Lee watershed project. Rodenberg explained the concerns expressed by the landowner regarding pool depth and slope steepness as well as the issues regarding the direct impacts to a naturally occurring wetland and the permit requirements set by the USACE to mitigate those impacts on this site. Rodenberg explained that creation of stable slopes is a requirement of the contractor and that the IWA project cannot justify spending additional funds not outlined in the approved engineering plans and contract. The landowner was informed that additional earthwork outside of the IWA can be taken care of privately given the additional earthwork is acceptable under the USACE permit. Rodenberg was confident the other issues expressed by the landowner will be taken care of upon completion of the project. Rodenberg also updated the Board on other WMA projects.
Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To allow Adam Rodenberg, WMA coordinator, to sign off on his own timesheets and claim forms as other department heads do.
Bierschenk moved//Seeman seconded: To adjourn. Motion carried.
