CPPC FY22 Planning Report

The FY22 CPPC Planning/Evaluation report was completed and sent to the board on August 2 for approval. It was submitted before its due date on 8-15-21.

Training

Lisa has taken the following DECAT Training:

Lisa completed Contract Training 110 on 9-30-21

Lisa Completed 5 DAS online trainings for contract writing this quarter

Lisa also participated in the following trainings representing Flourishing Families DECAT/CPPC

Parent Caf Training on 8-31 to 9-1of 21

Benton county Disaster volunteerism training virtually on 9-9-21

Lisa attended the CPPC fall coordinator training on 9-17

Community Outreach Activities -- (Neighborhood / Community Networking)

Lisa participated in the Benton County Coalition quarterly meeting on 7-26-21 and 9-27-21.

Lisa presented at the Benton County Stepping Up Steering Committee meeting on July 28 and participated in the 8-25 and 8-22 meeting.

Lisa participated in the Benton Collaborative Council meeting on July 29

Lisa participated in the Benton County wellness meeting on 8-10-21.

Lisa participated in story hour at the Shellsburg library. Bubbles were used and our sling bags (with games to pick from) were shared and books were read to the children. There was one day care present with 6 children. It was posted on their face book page.

Mackenzie took the bubbles and bags (with games to pick from) to the Norway Library for movie night. There were 6 families with about 15 children present.

Lisa participated in story hour at the Belle Plaine library on 9-24-21. Bubbles were used and our sling bags (with games to pick from) and bubble books were shared with the children. The 2 bubble books were left with the library. There were 6 children present with.

Lisa participated in story hour at the Victor library on 9-29-21. Bubbles were used and our sling bags (with games to pick from) and bubble books were shared with the children. The 2 bubble books were left with the library. There were 9 children present. It was posted on their face book page.

Lisa participated in story hour at the Garrison library on 9-30-21. Bubbles were used and our sling bags (with games to pick from) and bubble books were shared with the children. The 2 bubble books were left with the library. There were 12 children present.

A follow-up e-mail has been sent to the other libraries. Lisa will start contacting them by phone if there is no response.

FY22 Budget

CPPC FY22 Budget consisted of $20,000. $11,598.12 for coordinator salary and $8401.88 was for expenses.

DCAT Estimated Budget $124,919.00 We received $22,779 from legislature that must be spent by June 30, 2024. We have more money to spend this year, so we do not give money back. From board meeting discussion the following was recommended for contract development:

1.) Do a procurement bid for Supervised visitation in both Counties for up to $17,000

2.) Prepare a two-year interagency contract with ISU Extension for the Old School Produce Program $12,000 this year and $5,000 next year.

3 months of coordination salary for both programs and CPPC expenses. Lisa ordered the additional bubbles and books about bubbles to gift to the libraries for their collections and to have one to read when visiting the libraries. The books are: The Bubble Book by Elizabeth

Ember, and Pop, a book about Bubbles (let's read -and-find-out Science) by Kimberly Bradley. The cost was $299.89. Current total expenditure this quarter = $8,855.17

FY22 -- DCAT4-21-020 CIJDC (Wrap around) $7,000.00.

Current estimated expenditures this quarter are: car seat, cell phone bill and child care expenses totaling = $848.18

FY22 -- DCAT4-22-022 Moms and Dads Program $3,000.00

Young Parents Network has entered a 2-year contract to provide two Love and Logic classes each year. One class will be facilitated in Benton County and one class will be facilitated in Iowa county each year, for the next 2 years. The class may be online if needed. They additionally will provide one Parent Caf each year. On 9/17/21 the flyer was sent to our distribution list about the first Love and Logic class scheduled to start in Iowa County (Williamsburg) on October 6.
