The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Seeman and Bierschenk present, Primmer called in. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. at the conference room at the Benton County Service Center. Members of the public were provided the zoom access capability to join in during open session and livestream at https://www.youtube.com/bentoncountyiowa. Unless otherwise noted, all actions were approved unanimously. Roy Schulz and Wayne Shannon, members of the Pioneer Cemetery Commission came to update the Board on their budgeted items and projects they have been working on. They are have been working on signs and surveying, and will also be getting signs on their vehicles to distinguish who they are and also photo IDs. The commission is also hoping to set up a monument to put the names and grave marker in Stringtown Cemetery.

Bierschenk moved/Primmer seconded: To approve 20 hours of vacation carryover for Sarah Wagner to be used by March 31, 2022. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve hiring of Brian Sondag as a part time correctional officer for the sheriff's office at a beginning wage of $17.91 an hour effective immediately. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve a claim for Theisen's in the amount of $67.96 for materials to hang the office shields is to be paid out of the ARP Fund. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve payroll checks numbered 142102 through 142108, ACH Deposits 47565 through 47709, claims numbered 240903 through 241013, vendor checks 241014 through 24020. Motion carried.

The Auditor's office reported working on the re-districting maps, and will be setting up a meeting soon, and setting the public hearing date but no action was taken at this time.

Bierschenk moved/ Primmer seconded: To approve minutes from November 30, 2021. Motion carried.

Bierschenk moved/Primmer seconded: To approve Resolution #21-106, Bridge embargo removal BR-0032, 0.2 mile south of the NW corner of section 19-86N-12W (Bruce Township) on HWY V37. Motion carried.

Committee Reports were had and an update regarding accommodating the Abbe Center to make office space in the Service Center.

Bierschenk moved/Primmer seconded: To adjourn. Motion carried.
