The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Seeman and Bierschenk present, Primmer called in. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. at the conference room at the Benton County Service Center. Members of the public were provided the zoom access capability to join in during open session and livestream at https://www.youtube.com/bentoncountyiowa. Unless otherwise noted, all actions were approved unanimously. Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve the minutes of February 15, 2022. Motion carried.

Biershenk moved/Primmer seconded: To amend the maximum levy hearing date from March 1, 2022 to March 4, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. due to publication error. Motion carried.

Mona Onken, came to discuss approving a vehicle for Foundation 2 to be paid with Mental Health fund balance spend down, along with some training costs for employees. Onken explained that once the vehicle is purchased, it would belong to Foundation 2 and they would hold title and cover insurance. Further discussion on the amount to spend for the vehicle was had. Onken will need boards approval and then will take it to the regional board meeting on Thursday the 24th for their approval as well.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve spending authority of $32,525 using the Mental Health's fund balance for purchasing of vehicle for Foundation 2 and employee training. Motion carried.

Bierschenk moved/ Primmer seconded: To approve claims out of the ARPA fund for 1) Neopolitan Labs-$12,500 for the rest of the new website upgrade and 2) True North Company for the radio project consultation in the amount of $2,952. Motion carried.

Bierschenk moved/Primmer seconded: To approve payroll checks numbered 142140 through 142159, ACH Deposits 48284 through 48422, vendor checks 241601 through 241608, handwrite 241609 and claims numbered 241610 through 241729. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve Resolution #22-16, Changing employee status in the Sheriff's office for Sarah Siglin and Alyssa McAtee effective immediately from part-time to full-time at the hourly rate of $17.91. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve the hire of Whiney Amos as a part-time communications specialist with lateral pay rate of $22.25 an hour due to pervious employment, and all the required qualifications. Motion carried.

Due to the weather conditions, the Historic Preservation members were not able to attend in person. One called in and told the Supervisors where to find the report that was to be presented for signature today.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To authorize chairman to sign and certify the Historic Preservation Annual Report. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To adjourn. Motion carried.
