The Benton Soil & Water Conservation District has financial incentive funds available for us on privately owned land used for agricultural production. These State Cost Share funds can be used for structural (grassed waterways, terraces, grade stabilization structures, etc.) as well as management practices (no-till, contouring, contour strips, cover crops, etc.). No or Low-interest loans are also available that can be used in conjunction with cost-share to finance larger projects.

For more information, call (319-472-2161 ext. 3), stop by the SWCD office (1705 West D Street, Vinton) or go to: https://iowaagriculture.gov/field-services-bureau/financial-assistance-conservation-practices to apply online.
