The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Seeman and Bierschenk present. Primmer called in. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. at the conference room at the Benton County Service Center. Members of the public were provided the zoom access capability to join in during open session and livestream at https://www.youtube.com/bentoncountyiowa. Unless otherwise noted, all actions were approved unanimously. Summarized Resolutions will be available in the Auditor's office and at: www.bentoncountyia.gov

Bierschenk moved/Seeman seconded: To approve the minutes from Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Motion carried.
Bierschenk moved/Seeman seconded: To approve Class C Liquor License for Midwest Sips effective November 12-November 16, 2022. Motion carried.
Bierschenk moved/Seeman seconded: To approve General Assistance Quarterly Report ending September 30, 2022. Motion carried.
Sixth Judicial Judge Lars. G. Anderson and Kellee Cortez, Court Administrator were present to provide an update to the supervisors regarding the Courts. Benton County Clerk of Court Julie Hessenius was also present. Anderson and Cortez were very appreciative of Benton County and how we maintain our courthouse and take pride in keeping it looking good. They also thanked the Board for the great security and service we provide. Sixth Judicial covers Johnson, Linn, Iowa, Tama, Jones and Benton Counties. District court is every Thursday and Friday, while juvenile court is once a week. The Judges rotate monthly where they are assigned and there are two magistrates within Benton County as well.
Bierschenk moved/Seeman seconded: To.enter into closed session at 9:40 a.m. pursuant to Iowa code 21.5(1)c. Motion carried.
Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To exit closed session at 10:53 a.m. Motion carried. Bierschenk moved/Seeman seconded: To Adjourn. Motion carried.
