The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Seeman, Bierschenk and Primmer present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. at the conference room at the Benton County Service Center. Members of the public were provided the zoom access capability to join in during open session and livestream at https://www.youtube.com/bentoncountyiowa. Unless otherwise noted, all actions were approved unanimously. Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve the minutes from Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Motion carried.

Bierschenk moved/Primmer seconded: To approve claims for Arca Search using ARPA funds in the amounts of $16,094 and $104,985. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve payroll checks numbered 142521 through 142533, ACH Deposits 50933 through 51078, claims numbered 244140 through 244278 and vendor checks 244279 through 244286. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve use of courthouse lawn for the Holiday Parade/Santa visit on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Motion carried.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve Resolution #22-100, Wage change for Class D3 Chauffer's license in the Transportation Department to $15.50 an hour effective October 22, 2022. Motion carried.

George Haefner, Weed Commissioner presented bids he obtained and the specs for a heavy-duty pickup. Haefner also discussed the issue with the waiting period on some.

Bids obtained were as follows:

Stew Hansen Dodge City-2023 Dodge Ram 4500 -$$50,942.50

Stivers Ford-2023 Ford F450-$48,855

Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve and move forward with accepting the state bid from Stivers Ford for the 2023 Ford F450 with towing capacity in the amount of $48,855 and also advising George Haefner to do the homework for a flatbed with hoist. Voting aye were Seeman and Bierschenk. Primmer abstained. Motion carried.

Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve the annual weed commissioner's report and authorize signature to certify to the state. Voting aye were Bierschenk and Seeman. Primmer abstained. Motion carried.

Melody Snow, Vinton Unlimited Director updated the board in regards to the previously discussed light project. No action has been taken other than the initial discussion, but ideas were tossed around to research costs and different options for a future meeting.

Committee Reports were had from the Landfill, ECICOG Transportation and an update on the Radio project and currently working on taking down the tower near Rodgers Park.

Primmer moved/Bierschenk seconded: To Adjourn. Motion carried.
