01-25-23

A special meeting of the Shellsburg City Council was called to order by Mayor Speckner at 3:30pm in the Council Chambers. Roll call was answered by Reeves, Harvey, Thorkildson and Travis. Vogt was absent.

Maggie Burger of Speer financial came to explain GO bond borrowing options for the new bridge. Harvey made the motion to get a GO bond for 600K. Reeves aye, Harvey aye, Thorkildson aye. Travis nay. Motion carried.

Reeves motioned not to raise any taxes. Harvey and Thorkildson voted middle levy. Travis nay. Vogt was called to break tie. Reeves motioned no tax levy. Vogt and Harvey voted no tax levy. Thokildson nay, Travis nay.

Maggie suggested investing funds we have now. Reeves motioned to adjourn. Vogt second. All ayes.

1-27-23 A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE Shellsburg City Council was called to order by Mayor Speckner at 1:00pm in the Council Chambers.

Roll call was answered by Vogt, Reeves, Harvey, Thorkildson, and Travis.

Reeves motioned to approve Resolution #01-27-2023, adding two new banks to the city depositories list. Vogt second. All ayes.

Reeves motioned to adjourn. Vogt second. All ayes.
