The Benton County Board of Supervisors plans to consider a resolution declaring emergency medical services in Benton County as an essential service at their meeting on April 25, 2023. The resolution is required to be considered and voted upon with majority approval at two meetings of the Board prior to the meeting at which the resolution is to be finally approved. This is allowable under Iowa Code Section 422D.1 per Senate File 615 as signed into law by the Governor of the State of Iowa on June 9, 2021.
