Pursuant to Code of Iowa Sec. 50.51, the Secretary of State ¢â‚¬â„¢s Office has ordered a post-election audit of the September 12, 2023, Special City of Newhall Election for the Absentee Precinct. The Benton County Auditor ¢â‚¬â„¢s Office will conduct this audit on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. The audit will take place in the Auditor ¢â‚¬â„¢s Office at the Benton County Courthouse, 111 E 4th Street, Vinton, IA. Said proceeding shall be open to the public.
