Training and Building the Workforce PipelineThe Cedar Rapids Economic Alliance hosted a luncheon to discuss the commitment to growing Iowa's workforce on Wednesday, October 11th. We heard from Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend, Cedar Rapids Mayor Tiffany O'Donnell, and City of Marion Mayor Nicolas AboutAssaly.
ADM/Wolf Carbon SolutionsOn Wednesday, October 25th I attended the ADM/Wolf Carbon Solutions project update and facility tour. We heard about plans for a CO2 pipeline that has the capability to transfer 13 million tons of CO2 per year. We also heard the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Economic Impact Update.
Linn Eagles LuncheonAnother great Linn Eagles Luncheon was held on Friday, October 20th. Remarks were given by the Secretary of State Paul Pate, Senator Dan Zumbach, Representative Cindy Golding, Supervisor Louie Zumbach, and myself. This luncheon's special guest was U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley!
