Are you one of the Iowans who requested an absentee ballot and never returned it to your county auditor? If you answered yes and you still have your ballot in your possession, do not mail your ballot. Postmarks do not count towards the 8:00 p.m. Election Day deadline. At this point you can either:
1) make a plan to hand deliver it to your county auditor by 8:00 P.M. on Election Day, OR
2) make a plan to surrender your ballot and vote in person at your polling place on November 8.
- Polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M on Election Day. Remember your Voter ID!
- Your polling place may be different than the one you normally attend due to the City-School Election. Find your polling place by clicking here.
- Double check to make sure you're registered to vote by clicking here. If you aren't registered or your address isn't up to date, you will need to regsiter at the polls. For information on Election Day Registration, click here.
- If you see something suspicious report it to precinct election officials immediately. Additionally, you can contact my office by calling (888) SOS-VOTE (888-767-8683).
If you need any additional information, please visit VoterReady.Iowa.Gov or contact your county auditor.
