Summit Carbon Solutions Pipeline

The Iowa Utilities Board gave its approval for the Summit Carbon Solutions pipeline and for the company to use eminent domain to acquire landowners’ property. A decision that will likely be challenged in court.

Although I support land rights for safe, voluntary, and necessary projects, I DO NOT support the use of forced eminent domain for private profit. The legislature is working on this issue as information and strategies continue to pour in daily. I will keep the district updated as this issue unfolds. Iowa State Education Association Recommendation

This is why education is so vitally important to our society and civilization. Our teachers are the cornerstone of our children’s educational foundation and the future of Iowa.
The Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) represents education professionals in Iowa's cities, suburbs and towns. They understand and appreciate that strong public schools are a foundation of a strong community.

I am extremely honored to receive their recommendation for election to the Iowa Senate this year.

Results of the June 4th Primary

Thank you to everyone in Benton & Linn counties for your support in the June 4th Primary.
It is truly an honor!

Benton and Linn County Fairs

The Benton and Linn County fairs were held in June. Both were filled with several people, events, entertainment, and food! There is always so much to see and do. Thank you to all who contribute to these amazing county fairs!

An event was held celebrating our Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids!

The airport supports our commerce, tourism, travel, education, and safety.

I have always supported the CR Airport (CID) and will continue to do so in the Senate.

The Center Point EMS put on an awesome breakfast on June 8th.
We greatly appreciate Center Point EMS for their service to our communities!
