The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Primmer, Bierschenk and Seeman present, Supervisor Primmer called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. at the Benton County Service Center. Members of the public are invited to join in during open session or watch the livestream at https://www.youtube.com/bentoncountyiowa. Summarized Resolutions will be available in the Auditor's office and at: www.bentoncountyia.gov
Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve the agenda. All members voting aye. Motion carried.
Bierschenk moved/Seeman seconded: To approve both sets of minutes from November 12, 2024. Primmer, Seeman and Bierschenk voting aye. Motion carried.
Mark Erickson presented some quotes to finish concrete work at the Transportation Building. Those quotes were received as follows:
Wirtanen Concrete-$26,432
Nick Johnson Concrete LLC-$24,318
Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To authorize lowest bid to Nick Johnson Concrete LLC in the amount of $24,318 to be paid out of the ARPA fund. Primmer, Seeman and Bierschenk voting aye. Motion carried.
Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve 33 hours of vacation carryover for Mona Onken to be used by the end of December. All members voting aye. Motion carried.
Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To approve 10 hours of vacation carryover for Ben Turnis. All members voting aye. Motion carried.
Committee Reports: Bierschenk said the mental health region meetings have been suspended until December. Supervisor Seeman attended the Heartland Insurance Risk Pool seminar along with other elected officials. Seeman also reported on last nights conservation board meeting and shared pictures of the Wildcat shower house that is finished. Supervisor Primmer reported on last week's health board meeting and how they presented their budgets.
Seeman moved/Bierschenk seconded: To Adjourn at 9:09 a.m. Primmer, Seeman and Bierschenk voting aye. Motion carried.
