The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Seeman, Tippett and Volz present. Chairman Seeman called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. at the Benton County Courthouse. Present for the hearing County Attorney Ray Lough, Pryal Patel, Sheriff David Upah, Chief Deputy Josh Karston, Sgt Scott Baumann, Sgt Tyler Brandt, Jennifer Zahradnik, Samantha Zahradnik, Victoria Cole, Kelly Delong, members of the Delong Family, Shelly Patterson and Deputy Auditor John Martin.
Chairman Seeman called the meeting to order: Hearing for Vicious Animal Dog Ordinance Appeal for citation #25-004621
The hearing was opened with Victoria Cole, Counsel for the County, providing exhibits with witness testimony from Kelly Delong, Chief Deputy Josh Karston, Sgt Tyler Brandt, SGT Scott Baumann, Jennifer Zahradnik, Samantha Zahradnik and a juvenile member of the Delong family provided detailed information concerning the events that led to the issuance of the citation.
Tippett moved/ Volz seconded: Uphold the removal order of Vicious Dog Ordinance for citation #25-004621 and deny the variance request. Tippett voted aye, Volz voted aye and Seeman voted nay. Motion carried.
Tippett moved/ Volz seconded: To adjourn meeting at 3:15 p.m. Tippett, Seeman and Volz voting aye. Motion carried.
