On Tuesday's agenda, the Board of Supervisors heard from the Wellness Committee. As part of the effort to encourage county employees to participate in their health care program, they asked the Benton County Board of Supervisors about having a Wellness Day again this year. For those participating, a drawing was held for a $500 for those who participated. The award money is from the Iowa State Association of Counties. Each year the committee tries to offer an insurance discount for the those who meet goals in the program, something the supervisors encouraged.
